Overview
(1) Routine field surveys and data-logging will be conducted to obtain physical, chemical, biological and image data in Onagawa Bay and they will be analyzed using GIS and other geo-statistical methods.
(2) Archived data from Onagawa Nuclear Power Plant Annual Survey Reports will be assessed and subsets of relevant physical, chemical and biological data (1990 onwards) will be extracted and integrated into the whole analysis.
(3) Floating aquaculture facilities (i.e. long-lines and fish cages) will be digitized and mapped using time-series of high resolution satellite imagery in Onagawa Bay from 2011 March to 2017 March.
(4) Epibenthic organisms dwelling immediately below the Onagawa aquaculture facilities will be observed using underwater camera.
